We have an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Branch Manager in our Wincanton Garden Centre. You will support the Branch Manager, and with your drive and energy will lead the team and business to the next success level.

Requirements

Duties will include:
  • Previous retail management of over three years is essential
  • Deputise in the Manager's absence
  • Have responsibility for the branch including opening and closing when required
  • Support the Branch Manager in ensuring the efficient day to day running of the Garden Centre
  • Plan, organise and develop the retail departments, whilst meeting and exceeding customer expectations and financial targets
  • In addition, this role will have commercial accountability for both the Garden Sundries and Yard departments
The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate the following:
  • Have strong commercial experience, and be able to demonstrate working at this level in a retail environment
  • You must enjoy surpassing customers' expectations and relish the challenge of retail
  • Have excellent people management skills/communication and HR compliance
  • Understanding of stock control and EPOS
  • Have a good understanding of Health and Safety in a retail environment
  • Be a coach, mentor and team player
  • Have a strong desire to achieve the best results every day

Hours

This is a full time role to work 5 days a week, including working Sundays.
