Front of House Team Leader – Jack’s Patch

Location: Bishopsteignton, Devon, TQ14 9PN

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Front of House Team Leader to lead our front of house team at Jack’s Patch Garden Centre.

With a busy 250-seat restaurant, this is a key role within the business and an exciting opportunity to help shape the dining experience for our loyal customers. From morning coffees and homemade cakes to high-quality lunches prepared by our in-house kitchen team under the guidance of our Head Chef, you will play an important part in delivering an exceptional experience for every visitor.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the day-to-day front of house operation, ensuring outstanding customer service and high standards of hygiene and presentation.
  • Lead, train, support and motivate the front of house team to deliver an excellent customer experience.
  • Work closely with the Head Chef to ensure food is attractively presented and consistently served to a high standard.
  • Manage Front of House rotas, stock control and budgets effectively.
  • Handle customer enquiries and complaints professionally, ensuring customer satisfaction at all times.
  • Ensure compliance with Environmental Health regulations and food safety standards throughout all front of house and dining areas.
  • Take a hands-on approach across the restaurant, supporting both front of house and kitchen operations when required, including providing basic kitchen assistance on occasion.
About You: The successful candidate will enjoy working with people and be passionate about delivering exceptional customer service. You will be confident in leading and developing a team, setting high standards and ensuring these are consistently achieved. You will be able to demonstrate:
  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience within hospitality or catering.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a genuine commitment to customer satisfaction.
  • Outstanding communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • The ability to work collaboratively as part of the wider site management team.
  • A positive, proactive approach and the ability to thrive in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Hours

This is a full time, permanent position working 39 hours a week.

All shifts are in the daytime, and will include one weekend day.
