We are looking for a Retail Sales Assistant to work in our outdoor 0utdoor Garden Buildings department at Otter Garden Centre, Plymouth. This is a part-time role for 14 hours per week to work on Saturdays and Sundays.

Requirements

With exceptional customer service skills you will enjoy working under pressure in a retail environment.

You will learn about our range of Garden Buildings and use your detailed knowledge to drive sales.

The duties will include:

  • To work with customers selling external garden buildings and related products.
  • To work on own initiative but also be part of a bigger team.
  • Discussing the technical aspects of the range of garden buildings with customers, and helping customers to choose the right building for their home.
  • To maintain high standards in this specialised product area

This role may involve some manual handling.

About You

  • Previous retail experience and ideally experience of dealing with high value product sales.
  • Excellent customer service approach.
  • Knowledge of garden buildings would be an advantage but not essential as training will be provided.
  • You will be a self motivated, energetic and enthusiastic individual, passionate about delivering the best possible experience for our customers.

Hours

This is a part-time temporary role, 14 hours per week, 8 hours on Saturdays and 6 hours on Sundays.
